Seeing Masonic Temples targeted for destruction is so heartbreaking. Today (Mar 30th, 2021) three Masonic Temples were damaged via arson. No one is injured but the damage is extensive; one Masonic Temple being completely destroyed. The destruction affects not only the Mason Lodge but also the Shriners, a Harvest Food Bank, and a Cancer Drivers programs.

The three Masonic Temples are: 1) Lynn Valley Lodge Masonic Centre (1371 Lynn Valley Rd); 2) North Vancouver Masonic Centre (1142 Lonsdale Avenue); and 3) Park Lodge Masonic Hall (East 29th Avenue).

A suspect is in custody and, per reports, police are guarding Masonic Temples in the area. As soon as I learn how/where to send financial support/well-wishes, I will advise accordingly.

On January 28th, 2021 Cameron Adamson, facilitator of the Square & Compass Podcast, will appear on The Masonic Roundtable!

This appearance comes after Square & Compass was honoured to host on its podcast two members of The Masonic Roundtable; W. Bro. Jason Richards and Bro. Juan Sepulvedo.

The Masonic presence within the podcast/digital space is rapidly expanding, and Square & Compass is excited to discuss this expansion (its possible consequences for the Craft, the ability to monetize/professionalize this expansion) on The Masonic Roundtable.

See below for links to the Square & Compass episodes featuring The Masonic Roundtable! I have also included a link to The Masonic Roundtable's YouTube Channel.

Square & Compass is very proud to feature a most distinguished Mason and man, W. Bro. Martin Faulks (Lewis Masonic, General Manager).

You can find the full video on YouTube. You can find the full audio on Podbean, and most major podcast platforms. Square & Compass has also created several informative clips!

Square & Compass is excited to announce that, as of January 2021, it is publishing stories via Medium.com.

Square & Compass' mission is to (in a professional manner) promote Freemasonry and Masonic Education.

It has progressed within its mission via the Square & Compass Podcasthistorical Masonic Temple tours, and developing unique Masonic products.

Publishing on Medium.com is another step in this progression. Publishing on medium.com will allow Square & Compass to bring Masonic insights and ideas via written articles and stories.

Square & Compass also intends to use Medium.com to publish stories related to general interest. Part of being a Freemason is having a diverse range of pursuits an interests; and taking the time to research those interests.

Those interests can be intellectual (i.e. the liberal arts and sciences) or popular. I, particularly, love horror movies, and look forward to publishing stories on them.

Square & Compass has published two Masonic stories so far, and you can find them here and here.

If anyone (Mason or otherwise) has any topics about which they would like Square & Compass to publish a story, please let Square & Compass know!

Square & Compass reaches over 500 subscribers

In January 2021, Square & Compass reached on its YouTube channel over 500 subscribers.

To commemorate this milestone, and to thank everyone who helped it reach this milestone, Square & Compass produced a video featuring some of its favourite podcast moments (thus far). You can find the audio here.

While 500 subscribers is an important milestone, it is just the beginning!

Jan 20th, 2021

On the evening of January 6th, 2021 Square & Compass spoke with W. Bro. Jason Richards of The Masonic Roundtable.

Earlier that day, protesters/rioters in Washington, DC stormed the capital building, resulting in several deaths. As the storming took place, hospitals remained filled with COVID-19 patients, and as of this date (Jan 20th, 2021), over 400, 000 COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded.

Many Freemasons are doing excellent work within and without the Craft, at address the above-noted challenges. These include W. Bro. Edgar Baron, R. W. Bro. Oscar Alleyne, Bro. David Karp, and more. However, it seems to Square & Compass as though Freemasonry could (on a national and international level) be a force of strength and stability and do more to address these challenges.

Square & Compass addresses this perception with W. Bro. Jason Richards and asks the question: "did Freemasonry Drop the Ball?"

On Jan 18th, 2021, Square & Compass Promotions began the process of updating it's YouTube video thumbnails! Research shows that a consistent, attractive thumbnail increases the number of views/clicks from YouTube Patrons-and Square & Compass Promotions is excited to (finally) get around to updating many of its older video thumbnails!

Jan 17th, 2021

On Jan 6th, 2021, Square & Compass Promotions interviewed W. Bro. Jason Richards of the Masonic Roundtable

The interview was particularly poignant, as Jan 6th, 2021 marks the date of the Washington, DC Riots and W. Bro. Richards is located close to Washington, DC.

We discuss the Masonic approach to these challenges and ask the question: "did Freemasonry drop the ball?"

The video is located on YouTube, and the audio is on most major platforms, including Podbean and Spotify.

W. Bro. Richards is the second member of the Masonic Roundtable to join Square & Compass. Square & Compass interviewed Bro. Juan Sepulvedo. You can find the video on YouTube, and the audio on most major platforms, including Podbean and Spotify.

To see the Windsor Masonic Temple is to see the history of Windsor, Essex, and Southwest Ontario!

To step inside the Windsor Masonic Temple is to follow in the footsteps of the men and women (from Prime Ministers to Custodians, from Mayors to Musicians) that have, if only for an evening, called the Windsor Masonic Temple home.

The Windsor Masonic Temple is a Masonic home. It is also home to the cherished memories of friends, neighbors, parents, and grandparents; memories formed through school dances and graduations, weddings and receptions, banquets and (yes) Masonic ceremonies.

As Mayor Drew Dilkens noted: 2021 marks the 100 year anniversary of the Windsor Masonic Temple.

In 2020, Square & Compass posted content featuring the Windsor Masonic Temple, including content on the Temple's architectural designs, distinguished guests, historical correspondence, and groups that call the Temple home. In 2020, Square & Compass also created beautiful Windsor Masonic Temple scale models, excellent for model train-sets/villages.

In 2021, to mark 100 years of memories, Square & Compass will be creating and posting even more content, and developing more products, promoting the beautiful Windsor Masonic Temple!

2021 also marks a partnership between Square & Compass and the Detroit Historical Society; this partnership will allow Square & Compass to offer virtual tours of the beautiful Windsor Masonic Temple to Detroit Historical Society members!

Follow Square & Compass to learn more about the Windsor Masonic Temple: a historical, architectural, and regional treasure.
